does serendipity doesn't run on ubuntu operating system?

i tried to install it and it works but when i lunched the application.

it doesn't work.

any opinion.

Sure, s9y works on any Apache-based system. However, Serendipity is not edible.

What is the URL of your blog?
From the little you wrote it sounds as if you were able to run the install script, but could not access the blog.

That sounds consistent with giving the blog a URL on it's setting and then not having the URL actually point to the machine.
