I'm trying to publish and the system says "Serendipity is now saving your entry, creating trackbacks and performing possible XML-RPC calls. This may take a while.." but in the area where it normally shows the progress it is showing my admin panel.. see screenshot below:

I can save as draft but cannot publish.. i've no clue what I did to affect this.

Hi!

This "admin panel within the iframe" usually happen when there' ssession trouble. Check if it works in another browser you don't normally use. Clear your cookies, relogin, check your server's PHP session storage - usually its one of those.
