Is there some way to either capture 404 errors or report on them so that one can correct potentially broken links?

This may not be a S9Y specific feature but I'm trying to figure out how I can capture when people land on a 404 page?

There are Tools, that can do this. Or use a google sitemap and google for webmasters. There you could see, which links were not reachable for the google bot.
