Serendipity简单介绍
Serendipity团队自2003年10月07日(Serendipity 0.3 - October 7th, 2003)发布serendipity-0.3至今已经有五年多时间，刚才想在网上找serendipity的简介贴在本博客上，但是我失望了!都是很马虎的简介，所以我参考其它博客程序简单地整理一下。
Serendipity是一个PHP+MySQL的Blog程序，是由几名资深的php程序员共同开发，所以程序的品质勿庸置疑。

它功能丰富，易于使用，灵活性强，可以扩展，符合标准，基于BSD License开源。

安装设置简单
通过安装向导将会引导你轻松完成安装。并且你可以通过管理界面来控制所有设置，不需要去编辑配置文件。

支持多国语言
繁简中文支持。自动编码识别，使用访问者浏览器的编码自动选择界面语言。

操作使用简单

通过所见即所得文章编辑器，你可以编排出整齐漂亮包含图片，声音以及视频的的文章；
通过管理者后台界面可以轻松做到自动图片缩放，上传大量图片，编写文档图片，让你可以很容易建立一个多媒体网站。

代理评论审核
评论审核是将未经认可的评论拒之站外。在没有登录博客的情况下，可以使用邮件的连接就可以核准和删除评论；

丰富的功能
如果标准安装中没有你想要的功能，可以通过安装其提供的一百六十多个插件来满足你的需求。通过plugins\serendipity_event_spartacus插件从Serendipity网上资源库中下载更新所有插件和主题。

多样化的主题
提供超过八十多个不同的精美模板供你选择。
过滤垃圾信息
内建采用强大的垃圾信息过滤机制，以保证博客的评论和引用等不受垃圾信息的干扰。另外回复确认，回复验证CAPTCHAS,以及引用网址的检查都可以通过插件程序来设置;


支持静态页面生成；
支持多种数据库SQLite，PostgreSQL，MySQL，MySQLi；
支持从其它博客系统(WordPress，Textpattern，Moveable Type，bblog......)导入的功能。

（PS：功能太多，如果真的要把Serendipity全部特点整理出来，可能比翻译整理全部语言包时间还要多，还要长，所以大家有时间慢慢研究，发现好的特点再分享上来。）

We're happy to see Serendipity (or as we sometimes refer to it, s9y) being used in many countries and languages. You've already experienced the extensive language support the blog interface and plugins.

You are the first Chinese speaker on these forums. (I used Google's translation services to read your post.) It appears you're starting a Chinese s9y forum. I think that's fantastic, and I'll try to convince the other moderators not to delete your post, so it can point other Chinese s9y users to your site.

If there's any way we can help you, please ask us. We speak English in most of the forums, and we speak German in the Generelles en Deutsch forum.

First of all, thank you for your response.
Serendipity is a good project.
But,No body translated into Simplified Chinese.

We have core language files for zh_CN in UTF-8 (which we prefer) and gb2312. We also support language codes zh, cn, and variants specific to gb2312. I'm afraid I'm not very good at language, but I thought these were Simplified Chinese?

If you'd like to add another language, we'd be happy to add it to our repository!

I translated a Simplified Language Pack on Google Code.

Garvin, his zip has both core language files and several plugin language files. I don't know how his core language files differ from the ones we've already got; I'll try to check it out next week if you don't get there first. Watch out; the files unzip in the current directory.
