Then I've had this message on my website.

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Is there someone who i've an idea about the cause of this problem.

Hi!

It could be that some PHP code inside the adaptations file is making a problem. Please edit the templates/adaptation/config.inc.php file and at the bottom, remove the "include('/www/...')" line. This was not supposed to be there, it got in that file accidentaly and could cause the trouble for you here...

Best regards,
Garvin

Hello Garvin, thanks for your help.
I've seen the adaptation folder and there is no file , only folder.
So I've dowloaded the adapation on website and I've dowloaded it on my server.
I've deleted the include sentence and dowloaded on my server and it doesn't work.

I've one question, Where can I change the configuration to change the template ?
Perheps CanI change something on me sql base ?

Have you an idea ?

Thanks Regards,
Mchinfa

Hi!

Hm, that really shouldn't happen. If there's a directory, there should've been files in it.

What happens when you go to the s9y interface and there to the "Manage styles" menu? Do you see adaptation there?

The actual template name is stored in the database, yes. Inside the serendipity_config DB table, they key is called "template" for the "name" column.

Hello Garvin,

I can't go on my admin interface because I've the same error message
http://www.rollscreations.com/creations ... _admin.php

I've seen on my database in serendipity_config the name of my template is bulletproof. th oldest .
There is not sign about the adaptation template ! it's so strange .

Must I re-install all of serendipity ?
Or there is another solution in my database?

Thank you so much for your help.
Best regards,
Mchinfa

Hi!

Hm, then this should not be related to the template at all.

Can you try to rename the "adaptation" directory in your "templates" directory to something like "old_adaptation" and see if your site starts to work again?

Did you change any other folder or file inside your "templates" directory? Because if the "template" string is still set to bulletproof, this theme should actually be used.

Another reason for your HTTP 500 error (this is a very global error) could be a misbehaving serendipity_config_local.inc.php file or .htaccess file. You could try to rename ".htaccess" to something other temporarily to see if it works out then. Maybe you can even ask your provider about the exact PHP error log, because then we can see the actual error.

I'm quite sure we can sort this problem wihtout reinstalling serendipity. If you'd like me to have a look at it, I can offer to do that, if you mail me your FTP account data (via PM). Or we take it on together, that depends on you (but takes more time).

Garvin

Hello ,
I've deleted the .htacess and I've the same problem.
So I've re installed serendipity and there still is a problem.

Go on my website and you'll see

The index doesn't work alone, I must clic on the file.

Is there someone who have had this problem ?

Thank you for your help.

Hi!

After reinstallation, did serendipity not create a .htaccess for you? The command "DirectoryIndex index.php" inside that file is important so that you get the blog immediately.

Garvin
