Using Serendipity on iPhone

Lately I've been trying to write a post to my blog via my new Apple iPhone. Bottom line is that I just couldn't do it. When I try to create a new entry I get a pop-up which says that Mozilla < 1.3 Beta is not supported and might not work. So I guess it must be the mobile Safari browser on the iPhone. I can edit the title and the date of the entry but the text-box is not recognized.

Is there any way to fix this issue? I would love to write entries to my blog when I'm on my way with the iPhone.

I am currently using Serendipity 1.2.1 on PHP 4.4.7 with the Andreas08 s9y v2.0 template by Carl Galloway and Andreas Viklund.

Hi!

You should go to your Personal Preferences in s9y and switch the "WYSIWYG editing" to "No".

Best regards,

Thanks a lot. Now it works!

But the trouble doesn't stop... I have modified the css of my template to have a fixed background for my blog. Everything works fine on IE7, Firefox and Safari. But on my iPhone the background is not fixed. Is there anything I can do about it?

Hi!

Phew. Sadly I can't help with that. But if someone donates me an iphone, I will personally fix this problem. :)

Garvin

I will think about it when my desperation gets too strong... :-)

You have helped me lot. Thanks again!
