Captcha not showing after upgrade

Hello,

Apache 2.0.59, php 5.2.3, MySQL 4.1.22, Serendipity 1.2, GD and Imagemagick working (tested with gallery).

After upgrade all my captchas went away... I think some path went broke or similar, as it was working previously (I upgraded during saturday). Problem is that now if page should show captcha image, it just keep on loading and wont terminate (=no logs updated)...

Same thing in spam prevention plugin (1.68) - cant change settings as it will load example captcha image forever (if I restart Apache, I get rid of the loading).

Tried with mod_rewrite on and off (tried searching!)...

Any pointers what to do or how to force GD/Imagemagick working?

www.nominaali.com is the address, however, as captcha is on for anonymous, it might get bogged down...

Hi!

What exactly did you upgrade? From what to what?

Indeed it seems your apashe is segfaulting, crashing or whatever. Maybe the permissions of some files/folders are wrong. Can you please check your server log? I can't help you from this end, it must somehow be server related.

Garvin

From 1.12 -> 1.2.

I upgraded as normally, just downloaded tar.gz pack, untarred it and copied to my server root, after that, changed ownership to apache.

I will try to fetch some info, but like I said, no logs get updated currently.

Hi!

Maybe it's not related to your s9y upgrade, and something else is wrong with the server?

Might be, I am currently checking it out... however, 7 other sites (some with gd/imagemagick) in same server work just fine :)

So I think it must be path/ownership -problem..

Solved

As my servers hard drive crashed[1] and Trustix is no more supported by Comodo [2] I installed fresh copy of Fedora Core 5 [3] I managed to solve problem with the captchas - must be with previous version of GD2 as I simply mounted same directories and same drives and restored databases and Serendipity works fine with captchas...

Well... 3 months but it is solved now :D

[1] yes, it was boot drive and yes, it actually corrupted some files and caused much trouble over backups
[2] Bastards!
[3] yes, it is old but packages are fine and updated and even bug free (can't say that about Fedora8)
