Backing up my database - problems

Hiya how are you? i hope everyone here is well,

im trying to backup my database for my blog, but its too big the table called serendipity_sapmblocklog is too big its 204MB is it possible to empty that table using phpmyadmin and them backup my blog, if that is possible can you please tell me how do i go about doing that? i dont want to lose any of my articles from my blog etc i dont really need this serendipity_sapmblocklog table in the database because I dont allow visitors to comment on my blog this was due to spam and have deleted the comment.php file to stop this i think the reason why the serendipity_sapmblocklog file is soo big was becuase of this spamming i used to get

i havent upgraded to the new version thats just come out, cant wait to try that out, but i would like to back up all my work before i do that

can you please help

Hi!

Yes, spamblocklog can be truncated. Use phpMyAdmin to "EMPTY" (NOT Drop) that table.

(BTW: Try to end your sentences with a "." once in a while - it's very hard to read!)
