I want to do a dirty joke category.
I would like to keep the articles off the front page or main window. Only available if one clicks the category in the cateogry picker, or lands there from an external link. This has to work for non registered users.
Any ideas?

Hi!

Either use the 'Start page category' plugin and hide that category. Or for each posting in that category, check the box "Hide frmo frontpage" using the extended entryproperties plugin.
