is this a bug, contact form replaces preview mode

Neut, is there anyway you could give Garvin or I ftp access to your site? Neither of us can see a clear bug that would cause this, so I think the only way to troubleshoot it is with an install where the behavior is occurring...

jdfalk, I guess the same question applies, although I think I have seen something like your error before (you see the main page, Neut is seeing plugin output). Could you try clearing your session cookies (or make sure you are logged off of the admin section and then log back in) and see if that fixes the problem?

Hi people!

I inspected neut's installation.

Somehow the pagetitle of the contact form was set to an empty string. Saving the configuration of that plugin again, witha non-empty title and a non-empty permalink solved the issue and the contact form disappeared for the preview.

Hi,
i hate to spoil the party here, but I had this issue with the Static Page plugin, not with the Contact Form plugin.

After your changes, it gave an error message on top of the form.

Subpage is: /nb3/pages/contactform.html, Pagetitle is , permalink is /nb3/pages/contactform.html. Either one matches.

I changed it back to my backup copy (your changes are saved in 'serendipity_event_contactform_garvin').

What exactly do you mean? I thought this thread is about the contact form showing up when previwing an entry?

What is your problem again?

If you get the output "Pagetitle is " and nothing after that, it means your contact form does not have a pagetitle! And empty pagetitles always match on every page, which is why a contact form would be displayed when it should not.

Hi, the issue of the contact form plugin as described in this discussion happens with my S9Y-setup with the Static Page plugin. That's why I posted it here in this post about the contact form plugin.
