Probably is. Rightclick file at right column here http://blog.warmbrain.com/justblogit/ Open file with Winzip or simular tool, extract "install.rdf". Open it up in Notepad and change this line

<em:maxVersion>1.0</em:maxVersion>

to

<em:maxVersion>1.5</em:maxVersion>

Save and pack it back in and Firefox will now accept file. Called "bumping". They have this check for a reason but most times extention works. This is not one which manipulates with FF engine or something. Perfectly safe to try out but if not sure just make a new profile and test on that.

Flock works with latest 0.9 nightlies with the autodetection mode. You need to install the "XML-RPC posting" serendipity plugin to support XML-RPC editing, though.

I'm pleased to announce version 0.3 in the name of Dylan Parker, the developer of this extension.
The new release now is compatible with FF1.5, as some of you have requested. You'll find the new version at the well known location http://blog.warmbrain.com/justblogit/

If you are in contact with him, could you please ask him why he doesn't mention Serendipity on his website? Serendipity is compatible to that extension for already more than a year, and I've written to him a couple of times.

Garvin

Done. Let's see what he says. Could take a while, his answer to my first mail was late, too. :)

Emailed the developer about 1.5 compatibility and he got right back to me with a new version that works:

Would be nice if he listed Serendipity though.

Your serendipity_xmlrpc.php seems to be properly installed, and the plugin seems to listen there.

Whichclient are you using exactly to use XMLRPC posting?JustBlogIt doesn't offer XMLRPC editing...?!

GArvin

Sorry maybe I do not understand fully the question...
What I am doing is:

 IN Fire fox on an txt Right clic and "Justblogit"
 then I get the above mentioned error.

So I am not sure that I really answer your question Garvin !

How did you configure justblogit? You must use a URL like this:

Code: Select all

http://yourblog/serendipity_admin.php?serendipity[adminModule]=entries&serendipity[adminAction]=new&serendipity[title]=%TITLE%&serendipity[body]=%TEXT%&serendipity[url]=%URL%
I guess you'veentered the serendipity_xmlrpc.php URL location there, which is wrong.

Garvin
