Hi!
I don't understand - they told you they editet test1.php so you shouldn't have the need to edit it again there? Check how they made it work according to their statement?

Did you edit the lang/UTF-8/serendipity_lang_se.inc.php file? It won't help if you edit lang/serendipity_lang_se.inc.php

Hey gavin.
Im trying to translate some plugins into swedish, like the karama addons etc, i am once again getting the ??? problem with åäö and wonder if it's someting special i need to to with the files inorder to get them to work? other then putting them in the UTF8 folder under the name "lang_se.inc.php" that is.
adding the define for the file like in the quote bellow dont help
@define('DATE_LOCALES', 'sv_SE.UTF8, sv_SE.UTF-8, swedish, sv, sv_SE, sv_SE.UTF8, sv_SE.UTF-8, sv_SE');

Hi!
Yeah, you need to save those files in UTF-8 encoding, not ISO encoding. That depends on the editor you're using!
