problem after installing static page plugin

Post by William »

Hi,

I hope someone can help me. I have just installed the static page plugin, but I can's get it to work.

Who can tell me something about Permalink? And where do I have to put the html-files?

Or a guide for the static page plugin is also welcome.

This is realy important for my website! Please help me.

Thanks in advance.

The static page plugin needs the content of your HTML files in its "Content" area. So you must copy+paste your content of the .html file into the plugin configuration.

Then you can (and must) enter a shorthand/URL title for the plugin (like "mystaticpage") and define a permalink like "/pages/mystaticpage.html". Then when you call that URL the staticpage plugin will show the pasted output on that page.

Thanks!

But when I add html-content with the plugin, will there be a link in the sidebar?

I wonder if there are more plugins that do something like the static page plugin.

No, you need to add a link to the HTML content manually, either via an entry you make or via a HTML nugget sidebar plugin.

There currently is no "overview" of static pages for the visitor. But a tighter staticpage inclusion is scheduled for our 0.9 version...
