saving with xinha deletes content

Post by konus »

Hi,
all of a sudden, xinha behaves very strange: Switching from html-view to code view or saving within html-view enabled deletes all data. The textfield is empty. after saving.

I tested it with Opera and Firefox, but with no difference. I am using the latest version 1.4.1 from serendipity. The same problem occured at the same time on a different computer, someone else where working on.

No, there is no script inside.
But it looks like there is some kind of overflow. After deleting the cache, everything is working fine again. [phew]

The problem with loosing all data occurs repeatedly after heavy editing. I did not found a way to reproduce the error though. For me XINHA seems to be a bit unreliable, but maybe It is only a problem with my setup.

I was trying to use XINHA for a new project, but now I am going back to the old-fashion editor in connection with textile.

Thank you for your support!

Hi,

Having trouble with Xinha too. It did a few bizarre saves on entries but I didn't track those errors down. However I can say that if trying to save something with javascript, it won't take it. Is that normal, and is there a work-around?

Cheers,

Vince

I think, this Problem was already discussed in the german part of this forum.

As result, there is a fix in functions_entries_admin.inc.php. Please try that.

Oh, how silly of me, I forgot to check the German part... ;-)

Fix found, implemented and working. Thanks for the tip, Konus!

Cheers,
