Why no zip files?

I can't do anything with your tar files. I'm on windows, it doesn't zip the files into the folders.

I don't get it. Since 99% of users can't use zip files, why no zip files for this app?

and please don't tell me all I have to do is unzip it unless you're using a windows box and that's what you did.
