Shared installation

Hi everybody, i was hoping somebody coud help me with this issu.

i have the following challenge for U

i use a shared installation of the s9y blog,
but i want some controll over what all our users post.
so is there a way to implant a sort of super admin, in other words a administrator account who has acces to all users blogs.

does anyone has a clue for me? just point me in the right direction i'm lost.......

Nothing is set up to work that way by default.

However, since you've got control of all the user database tables, all you'd need to do is add an administrator -- always the same name and password -- to each user's database. Of course, it would be like a co-administrator, since any user could delete it at any time. But you've still got control of the database, so you can just add it and use it on demand.

you're answer is simular to wath i was thinking, i will try to setup a admin account vor me, and then give the owner of the blog a super user account with admin priv. that way they can't delete the administrator account but wil have all the options right??

You could set it up that way, but then the "blog admin" wouldn't be able to add new users, either. No way to build a community.

I was thinking that even if the "blog admin" deletes the "super admin", you have access to the database tables and can reinsert the "super admin" easily.

if i go to the admin page and then select (don't know the english button) config user groups, there is a section about admin users and create users modify users. so he/she can add users! right?, but with a maximum level of super user(their own level). or em i wrong!?

Hi!

Admins can add other users, yes. There is no higher userlevel than admin, so super user == admin.

You can try to create a user group that is not authorized to create other users though, or you can only create Chief Editors for your users, and you are the only admin.
