Creating and modifying plugins.

right, i did remove the plugin via phpmyadmin to get the site back.

im using MySQL 4.1.8 & PHP 4.3.10. When i installed it i inserted my title, links ordered categorically [non js] and clicked save. and then all i got is links.

I have just repeated the steps (with the same version i was using) and it has done the exact same thing! [at least i know how to get rid of it now :P] screenshot here once i saved the settings ---> www.essap.org/linkserror.gif as you can see it loses all css etc. as well

when i try to access the website all i get is this www.essap.org/pagegoneweird.gif

hope this helps a bit more

just installed the version off your website that seems to work. it does not give me any errors. Still when i added a link its nowhere to be found. I assume i would find them appended at the end of the "manage links" page in admin? how do i display the links? [sorry 4 been thick]

So they are not showing up on the manage links page at all after you add them?

Or do you get a list of links but no output on the main page?

Hmm.. Can you verify (using phpmyadmin) that the following tables exist:

Code: Select all

{prefix}links
{prefix}link_category
where {prefix} is whatever prefix you are using (usually serendipity_)

Also, what version of serendipity are you running? I am running 0.8-alpha10 (probably from last week sometime) for my test machine...
I know the plugin will not run on 0.7

I haven't kept track of the changes to the plugin api as closely as I should, so I may have used something that needs a newer version then what you are running..
The picture of the admin suite you posted seems to be older (but it is hard to tell without the CSS)...

omid,

Mind if I build a version of your sidebar to use my plugin?

It looks nice...
