Hey there,
I am new to these forums and the serendipity software. I have set up my blog and it is working great :D

However i am getting a lot of comment spam. I have looked round and could not find any plugins etc that would help.

Could you please tell me if there are any Captcha scripts or sparm catching plugins around?

hey ping, welcome.

Yes there are, and in fact the captcha is very easy to use. In admin suite, click on plugins then scroll down to event plugins. You're looking for the spam protector plugin, and once you're clicked on this you can enable or disable captchas.

If you're using Serenditpity 1.0 beta 3 you will also be able to use the akismet service, read the official announcement.
