andreas08 updated for version 1.1, includes colorsets

Post by carl_galloway »

Hi all,

I've updated my andreas08 template and included colorsets within the template. This is the first public release of a template that is fully compatible with version 0.91, 1.0 and 1.1 of Serendipity. Be sure to check out the new nuclear colorset which is currently installed on my themes site.

Download from here

I am currently working on another 8 templates which I plan to release over the next few weeks.

Are there some shared files when changing templates?

I uploaded the Andreas08 template to two different sites I have on the same server and one is fine and the other has a bunch of errors. Both of my sites would have different sidebar plugins for sure though and that looks like it may be the cause of the errors.

Thanks for all the great templates Carl.

davecjr, I can't explain why one would work but not the other. Are you able to post a url of the one that doesn't work?

http://www.thecockrells.com I don't want to leave it like that for long! I changed it to nuclear.css just like I did on another site of mine which worked fine. http://www.affordablepcgeek.com

I hope it isn't something I have done but I've had some trouble changing templates on my personal site before and I've just changed back to something I knew that worked instead of trying to figure out why!

Thanks for your help.

Hey Dave, that doesn't look like a template problem, viewing the source code looks fine, I think the issue might be that you're right on the cutting edge of Serendiity development. Take a screenshot, and send it to Garvin, those errors look like they might be of interest to him.

Hi!

Those error messages should not be template related, they indicate that you've got plugins installed that can't be included.

Dave, please go to your s9y admin panel, enter the plugin configuration and tell me what you see there?

As far as sidebar plugins, I have...

Static Pages List
Coppermine Thumbnails
HTML Nugget
Birthday Calendar
QuickJump Calendar
Link List
HTML Nugget
Quicksearch
Blog Administration

In that order. If you want event plugins, that will be a longer list! Maybe I have too many of them!

Hi!

Could you look into your HTML output of the admin page output for the plugins page and look if you see any errors?

And if you switch the template to any other template the problem goes away?!

Garvin

I do not see any errors while I am in the the admin area anywhere. I looked at the source in a few different areas (main admin area, configure plugins area,...) and didn't notice any errors.

I get the same looking errors on a number of templates. I just tried out 'BEX01' and get this error output on the bottom right column. Should I just start removing sidebar plugins to see if the problem goes away? Below is some of the error output on my frontpage.

Hi!

I think I'll need to have a look at your installation. Could you send me a private mail with FTP access to your blog, then I could have a look?

Best regards,
Garvin
