Does Karma-Voting work?

a question to all users of supersized:

Does the karma-voting work at your blog?

In my blog http://blog.defo.info I can klick on the + oder ++ oder - ... and nothing happend!? I try it with Opera, IE an Mozilla.

Hi!

My guess is that the serendipity_karma DB table might not be existing in your setup? Maybe you can ask Jannis if that DB table exists, it is required for tracking it.

Would it be helpfully if he makes me admin in the blog? Or must I have access to the database itself - so I cannot do this by myself?

Being an admin would not help in that case, because you'd need either FTP access or SQL access...

Hm. But should not ... argh I really don't know how to say it in english, so sorry:

Sollte das Anlegen der Tabellen nicht durch s9y beim Einstellen des Plugins erfolgen? Oder meinetwegen durch das Plugin selber? Oder verstehe ich daß falsch, daß die Plugin irgendwie selber dafür sorgen, daß speziell für sie notwendige Tabellen erzeugt werden?

Ja, das Plugin muss das übernehmen! Tut es ja auch, denn bei mir und anderen Installationen klappt es ja Nur um rauszufinden warum es nicht klappt müsste man da mit Datenbankzugriff dem ganzen zu Leibe rücken um es analysieren zu können.

I think the problem is, that the users at supersized.org do not have enough privileges to install certain plugins. As they're not blog-admins, maybe this causes them to be unable to create database tables (or their plugins respectively)?

But, making me an blog-admin did not help I deleted the plugin und reinstalled it, without any success.


BTW, it would make me happy when you can update "Aritkel per Mail verschicken" to 1.44
