Just curious to find out what people are using.

I use the wysiwyg editor because it is less pain to generate html blog entries that way. I'd rather not, but it sucks less than having to write HTML.

Ugh, let some bloated chunk of Javascript mangle my nice HTML? And lose the capability to use styles my themes can handle?

I think not. (Poof)

Same here: I tried it at first but found out it is horrible. I just use the simple no frails version...

I don't like it but my users love this. Unfortunately, as I've said in another forum, they love cut/paste from MS Word.

I'm no MS basher, I have about 5 Windows machines, but hey, MS Word generates the worst HTML of any editor I've seen since Front Page '98!

The biggest problems I have are MS Word HTML which wantsd to keep changing ALL the font and margin parameters at once, and the image insertion logic, which for an average user is hard to master. I'm thinking of using some kind of formatted table like the old days, where they'd have the choice between image left (text right) and image right (text left). Those blocks are more stable than the usual formatting.

In general, I don't use WYSIWYG editors. In my s9y installation, entries are comfortably styled by the template's CSS file, anyway. :)
