Hi, i want to delete this things from the template - in which template ? What do i have to delete ?Thx.

You can delete those parts in your entries.tpl template. Just search for "comment" and "trackback" to see the containers.

It would be great to have this in an admin screen

Entries - display
Comments - yes/no
Trackbacks - yes/no

and I'm sure there could be other things added

counting the times questions about those are asked here (yeah I did this too, stupid me) , it would be a lot easier and save a lot of Garvins time if he would just make this possible.

Well, this is a blog, and I simply refuse to make it easy. I want to add trackbacks and comments to blogs, and if owners want to restrict that, they have to go through the pain and get a "read the FAQ" from me instead

according to wikipedia it is at least "controversial" if comments and/or trackbacks are crucial elements of blogging.
