Hi all.
I have a very old version that I'd like to bring up to date.
I can have PHP '8' versions from 8.0 to 8.3
Right now it's set to: 7.4.33
I don't remember if I have to do step-wise updates. I did see while scanning through the docs that you have an auto-update add-on now. Can't wait to start using that after I get this very old version updated.
I'm looking to go to the highest version I can in a single step from my current version 2.1.6
Any advice/guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Highest upgrade from current version 2.1.6
Re: Highest upgrade from current version 2.1.6
Hi!
Even the current version, 2.5.0, should still work with PHP 7.4. And the upgrader goes through all steps, so it is supposed to work even if you now just install 2.5.0. But please make a backup first, of your files and the database, as there were some bigger changes (especially if you use MySQL/MariaDB).
You should upgrade all plugins first, and might want to delete old plugins that are not properly maintained anymore - for that, check the list at https://github.com/s9y/additional_plugi ... ster/alpha.
If you want to be more careful about this, or if the upgrade to 2.5.0 fails: The first version that supported PHP 8 with 8.0 was 2.4.0, and that one definitely was tested a lot with PHP 7.4 as well. So you could upgrade to that first, then switch to PHP 8.0, upgrade to Serendipity 2.5.0, and then switch to PHP 8.2. See https://github.com/s9y/Serendipity/wiki ... h-to-PHP-8 :)
