To elaborate on this, this will be a controlled alpha test with a small group of selected users. There's no need to volunteer for this, onli and I have already picked out a group of users we'd like to include. This alpha test is not so much about finding bugs, it's more about getting opinions on aspects of the backend we don't even see.

I can not stress enough that “as fast as possible” might still be quite a long time. The backend may look nearly finished – it's not.

It still needs lots of testing and optimization, especially on small(er) screens and mobile devices. Also, we haven't touched anything outside the core, and there's still parts of the core backend (especially sections generated by plugins) to be refined.

Also, I might be pretty busy with work over the next couple of months, so my time to work on this will be limited. Same goes for onli because of his exams etc.
