Bear in mind that I'm still somewhat of a noob when it comes to layout and CSS, but here's my simple problem.
I'm trying to use the serendipity index.php file as the bottom frame in a frameset. I can get the content to load fine, but whenever there is enough information on the page to introduce a vertical scroll bar, a corresponding horizontal scroll bar then shows up. I'm using a modified version of the default layout, so any suggestions on either style.css changes to make to limit the overall width so a horizontal scroll bar is never needed, or do I need to make the change in the frameset html file?
I encountered the same problem if I tried embedding the content using an iframe.
Thanks.
Stupid formatting question
mind posting your css?
hi Ikelly,
do you mind posting your css? I mean, since you said you have already modified it?
Anyway, if the case is happening because of html, or iframe as you said, you can set the properties to only horizontal or vertical, which ever u want.
Because, an iframe scrolling has three option,
1. auto
2. horizontal
3. vertical
And the default is set to auto. So, can you try that? it might help.
But pls keep a backup file, because i could be wrong. =)
thats just my 2 cent.
