Forum Registration temporarily offline / E-Mail Notification

Since s9y.org is currently running on a backup server, no mail system has been configured on that system.
The new server should be available soon. Meanwhile it means, no E-Mail notifications or new forum accounts can be sent out via mail.
Until this issue is resolved I have re-opened all forums to be writable for anonymous users.

Garvin

If one signed up without knowing the activation e-mails weren't being sent and never got one, but the account was created (knepveu), what can one do?

I think you should be able to re-register that account and get a new activation mail?
If that does not work, report back and I'll delete your old account.

It tells me the username is already taken.
There are actually two, embarassingly, because I wasn't sure at first if it had choken on the e-mail address I used on the first one.

Hm, stupidly I don't get how to delete a user with phpBB. I'm truly sorry, but you'll need to re-register with another username.

Go to Administration Panel -->
User Admin -->
Management --> enter Username, then press "
Look up User" --> scroll down to the end of the page --> Last Entry: "
Click here to delete this user; this cannot be undone." and
Submit

Actually, I strongly disrecommend that! Code re-use is a good, good thing. I mean, we can't ALL go and make the same code that many times - that's re-inventing the wheel! This is why, for example, I dropped the idea of making my own weblog system, and went for S9Y
That said, however:
I have two nicknames to have deleted, as well >_>
Keilaron and Kore.

Doh! I should've known
I take things too seriously sometimes
Thanks
I'm trying with my server as the recipient this time, hopefully the e-mail will be received (otherwise we may have to do this again
).
