Serendipity 1.4.1 released

Post by garvinhicking »

Serendipity 1.4.1 has been released. This is mainly a bugfix release for the updated of the bundled Smarty library, which fixes issues with Serendipity 1.4.

Other small fixes include better antispam checks for pingbacks (they were too strict before), an update to the sql index key creation of the statistics plugin and removal of error messages on open_basedir enabled servers.

You only need to upgrade to Serendipity 1.4.1 if one of the mentioned bugs affect you.

Not sure if it matters Garvin, but the lite release zipfile name is 1.4, not 1.4.1.

On the download page - the zipfile, when I hovered the link, was pointing to a file that was named 1.4.... but that seems to have changed. All is well. Nevermind!

I think we usually go with "When it's ready", "When it's necessary", or "When we have something really cool which is new and we can't stand to hold it back any longer" :)

All of those are eventually Garvin's call, but we usually don't have definite deadlines or dates.

Hi!

There are some new things in queue done by judebert for which we have no ETA yet, or even, if it will be successful.

I doubt that 1.5 will be released within the next 2 months.

Regards,
Garvin
