To many photos

Simple question, does having over 220 photos and counting in the media library slow down your website? I am using Bex01 template with 2 html nuggets as well as the random quote plugins. Initial access to page takes about 3-4 second delay on a 5gig connection.

The s9y media database is only queried when you write entries or browse the database.

Viewing the frontend does not take a hit to the mediadatabase, because the HTML code is added for image references, and the database is not touched for that.

I just accessed your blog, it loaded in 0.94 seconds, which is quite usual for the amount of HTML transferred and other reactions.

The only things that hit your database quite hard is counting the entries per categorys (in your sidebar) and per archive timespan (also the sidebar) and the statistics plugin display (sidebar).

Thanks for the explanation. I removed the Stats from the sidebar and I think it's a little faster.
