What templates?

I want to skin Serendipity to look like my current blog. It is written in xhtml strict and table-less.

What default templates need to be modified?

Take a look in /path/to/serendipity/templates/default

It may be a good idea to use Serendipity-0.8 (CVS), since we're now using Smarty.

Just how much of the smarty branch so i need to download? Smarty templates should be somewhat easer to work with.

You'd have to install the whole Serendipity 0.8 version branch. Updating from 0.7 should work without problems, but a backup is always a nice thing to have (from both files + database)
