Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone here is skilled in image creation. I am currently using the joshua theme and want to get rid of the current banner image (up top). Would anyone be interested in helping a fellow user out? I tried messing with the gimp but image creation just isnt for me. I really dont have much of an idea that can go up there, but I was just curious if someone would be willing to help.

Thanks

Sure, changing that header image is no real problem. But you'd need an image to switch it with, of course. And it needs to be puttable into that space, so it must have enough "content" in the horizontal direction that you can use/crop to.

Garvin

Yeah, I know what needs to be done  I just don't know how to create a nice looking image with the gimp or some other program. That's where I need some expertise in, actually creating the image.

Thanks

Oh, okay. I guess for that you should consult the GIMP forums, because there are much more skilled graphics developers, and it'S not related to Serendipity, so you should have more success there. :)

Garvin is, of course, absolutely correct.

However, I fool around with the GIMP and enjoy image creation. I can make you a simple gradient image in a couple of seconds. If you want something more elaborate, I'm not sure I have the time to do it for free, but we can work something out.

Well, OK, I'm a big softie. Not like I've got anything to do but work, anyway.

I sliced up an image of a Joshua tree that I found through Google Image search. I put it on my webpage. If you go to http://judebert.com/wasted_youth/index.php and use the theme switcher to check out Joshua, you'll see what I did. If you like it, you can save the image (from any competent browser) and use it as your Joshua titlebg.jpg image.
