Can I change older themes?

Post by carl_galloway »

Hi guys,

I have been asked to make some changes to some of the older themes (make them cross-browser compatible, add a couple of missing styles, that sort of thing), and I've also noticed that some of them don't work perfectly with some of the innovations that are occurring within the s9y world. I don't have the time to go into details, but I want to know, if I fix up any of the older themes can I post their new zipfiles on my website for other users to download, or would this be wrong? Alternatively, should I simply describe what needs to be done in separate threads and let users manually edit their files etc?

I don't want to take any credit, I just want to fix them. The canny observer will notice a few broken themes on my themes site so it should be a no brainer to work out where the faults lie.

Looking forward to a lively debate,
Carl

Hi Carl!

I for onelike to use and advertise the central serendipity CVS theme repository, instead of having users togo to individual webpages. That can be done as an addition, but I really like the flexibility of spartacus downloads...

So basically, it would be great if you could use CVStomaintain your themes on our repository aswell, if you havethetime and motivation for it. It's not really complicated, and allows the spartacus users to stay updated easily...

Bestregards and keep up :),
