running a short video from my blog site

Does anybody know if it's possible to run a short video and if so what would be the best way to go about it?
What I'd like is to be able to click on a link and perhaps windows media player would launch and download the video for the surfer to watch.
Any ideas welcome.

Yeah, that's possible with pure HTML. You might need to go to a HTML specific forum, because I for one don't know how to do it exactly.
I has to do with <object> tags and stuff like that...and might require javascript.

look at my blog.
It has
popup video on it
It is an article about different codecs. with flash, windowsmedia and quicktime players embeded. Look for images which have a "video" text written on it. That should launch the video. check out the sourcecode to see how it is done. For windows media go to page 2 and see the WMV9 codec video
