Kubrick theme doesn't work with IE ?

Post by Chris »

s9y team - great job with 0.8 -> love it ! :D

I've just switched over to the awesome Kubrick theme included with 0.8 but it looks like IE is having some issues with it. For example :

It works great with Firefox though - does any one have any advice on what I can do to make it work with IE ?

thanks,

Chris

Hm, it seems to be caused by the google ads or by some fixed width in your sidebar which goes over the default width. Maybe you can reduce the sice of some sidebar items.

I'm not sure that's the problem. I've just tried hiding several of my larger sidebar plugins but there was no change to the messed up layout. And furthermore, it works in Firefox.

I notice that in IE, the sidebar contents only start after my last blog entry in the main content area. Is this some sort of a CSS compliance issue with IE ?

thanks,

Chris

Did you already validate your HTML page? Maybe some of your entries are not validating properly, I'm sure this is the problem.

Then you need to fix your entry to be XHTML compliant, and then the IE will maybe show the page properly :)

Hi Garvin,

Found the problem - one of my CSS elements was screwing up the Kubrick template in IE. Funny thing is that this works using any other template and in FF using Kubrick.
