no graphics when installing templates with spartacus

Hello serendipitiers,

I' ve got an anoying problem. When installing a new template with spartacus I can' t see any graphics or images of this template (in folder /templates/newTemplate/images). I always have to change the permission for the new template-folder by typing

Code: Select all

chmod -R 775 newTemplateFolder

So it seams that the imagefiles are not permitted to be executed by anyone when installed by Spartacus. Can someone tell me how I can apply the right permissions to the installed templatefolders by default?

Go to "configure plugins" -> Spartacus... there you can specify permissions that can be applied to all files and/or folders created when downloading via spartacus.

Works well. I just changed the permissions for directories and files to 0755. Thanks for the fast help Don Chambers.

Also, is it retroactive? In the sense that if I had installed some template, and couldn't upload say, an image to that dir, after modifying the permissions in Spartacus it should be changeable/uploadable?

Hi!

It's not working like that for me. I set the permissions the same way, and I still get a "permission denied" error in FTP.

If you get permission denied via FTP, your user does not have the privileges to change ownerships from Spartacus, which is unrelated to FTP on some providers. You might need to use the "fixperm.php" script mentiuoned in the FAQ on www.s9y.org. If that does not work, you need to ask your provider to change permissions for you.

No, permissions are for future files only. Changing them does not change anything for already downloaded files/directories.
