RSS

Post by cdrom600 » Fri Oct 15, 2004 2:09 am

Hi,
On my blog (http://www.chrisdzombak.net/blog/), I'd like to use the Remote RSS feed plugin to display this feed: http://www.bloglines.com/blog/cdrom600/rss
However, When I configure the plugin and go to the blog home page, this error message appears where the RSS feed contents should:
Error on line 133 of /REMOVED_PATH_TO_HTML/blog/bundled-libs/Onyx/RSS.php: File has an XML error (not well-formed (invalid token) at line 23).
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to fix it?
Also, I'd like to pull items from a RSS feed and post them in my blog automatically (say I add something to an RSS feed elsewhere on the Web and I have s9y configured to check that RSS feed every hour and post new items as new blog entires)...is there a plugin to do this? I might look into writing one...
Thanks!

Update: the problem is that the feed is invalid.
Still, is there a plugin to read an RSS feed and display the items as blog entries?

Needs a lot of work (it's on my todo list), but yes. Feel like bringing it up to production quality, by any chance? I've got kind of a lot on my plate...

I might try...I'm not very good with PHP yet though.

I get this ocasionally as well...Seems it doesn't have very good error handling or XML cleanup.

Ironically, I actually seem to have the worst problem with the s9y forum RSS feed: http://www.s9y.org/forums/rdf.php if a title has non-standard characters in it.
