Detailed Referrer-Overview?

Post by SoWhy »

Hi there,

I'm beginning to like s9y more and more and I'm considering switching. Only thing I miss compared with the software I use at the moment (Lifetype), is a detailed overview of all referrers to the blog. LifeType offers me a detailed overview from where the link came, how often this page referred to me and when it did so the last time. I installed the Statisics-Plugin (manually the 1.3 version) and it displays top referrers but only the name and no further informations. Is there a way to have it like this:

TIA

Hi!

You might want to try the statistics plugin delivered with Serendipity 1.1-alpha1 snapshots? Shrikee worked hard on this plugin to provide additional information, I think referrer information was among that!

Best regards,
Garvin

I think so yes; it has been added to the serendipity nightlies, I don't know if there were any more changes.

I installed that one manually. It shows more than the 1.23 version but yet not enough. What I saw: s9y_referres table in MySQL only saves the date, not the time. It would be nice if it would save the complete timestamp in UNIX time instead of the date in YYYY-MM-DD then a plugin could show that information.

The referrers are stored for a period throughout a day and aggregated, so you can not view indivudual people reading entries but only aggregated stats for that referring URL. Changing this would mean a complete different tracking; so instead you would need a new plugin creating its own table and referrer tracking.

What you seem to want to get more calls for sophisticated user tracking; you might want to try Google Analytics...

Best regards,
Garvin
