Customizable Entries Archive: Change default settings

Hi,
I really like the customizable entries archive event plugin (serendipity_event_customarchive). It would be great to be able to set a different default mode.
Now: Sort by Date, Ascending, current year, all authors
By expanding the admin section of the plugin one could set different start values like
Sort by Categories, Ascending, All Time, All Authors.
Note for selections of time period:
The current year can be rather short. Between current year and last year, maybe 1 year back would be a good additional value. Or maybe even better a checkbox "From now till the year selected"
