Poll Vaulting

I had several side bar polls on my blog.

They were not arithmetically accurate (37% + 38% = 100%), but they were interesting.

I downloaded the new Poll .2 and my polls disappeared. They were replaced by the single word "Poll" and Vote button. There are no fields to create (or in this case re-create) that vanished polls.

I also attempted to upgrade to the latest "read as PDF" but I receive many, many errors regarding cannot write to... (777 has been set, but...)

Any input appreciated.

Sadly the version 2 of the poll plugin cannot keep old votes, as it handles them completely different (via a new menu item in your admin).

About the "PDF" plugin: If you download them via Spartacus you must have your "serendipity_event_blogpdf" directory and the files therin writable (777) for the webserver...

Thanks. I am, however, somewhat lost with the poll feature. I do not mind beginning them again, but when I select the poll sidebar plug-in, I do not get any of setup options of the original poll. Instead, I receive only Poll and Vote. I do not see them under administration.

Thanks again,

Alice

You must have at the left side of your Admin area a "Manage Polls" item...can you send a screenshot?

Hm, okay. It is really missing.

Can you see in the list of plugins? You should have a poll plugin listed in both the sidebar list as well in the event list...

Think I have it now. Had sidebar but not event installed.

Thanks again,
