[announcement] Many plugins were upated w/o changelog

We had to change many plugins to make them compatible with the master version (a not released version) of Serendipity. So you will get many of your plugins reported as "new version available".

As it is the same fix for all of them (we made them work with E_STRICT settings), there is no changelog for each single plugin.

So if you see a huge list of plugins waiting for update: This is correct. But the updates are not needed for the actual released version, so take your time to update. Some users reported "HTTP 500" errors already and I assume this could be the mirror having too much load at the moment from all the updates at the same time.

Hi!

I think you should've not changed the version number for such a change? ;) Maybe revert it to the old versions?

Does the HTTP/500 error occur on a mirror, you are sure of it? Or at the actual host where s9y is installed on?

Garvin

I was thinking about that, too.. But when there are plugins that will never get an update again, they will fail on some s9y blogs as time goes by (and people have installed s9y 2.0) I think..

At the moment the fix was not relevant, but I think it will, doesn't it?

500 errror: yelloled reported that when updating a plugin. So I assumed it's an update problem.

Hi!

If someone has a way to reproduce this on his/her machine, please raise your hand; we should try to investigate this.

Garvin

One out of four in two blogs, actually. That really sounds more like occasional timeouts because of too many updates at the same time.

I think the same. I had them, too, while updating, but doing it again was just fine then.
