link to and setting language for an article

Post by tonnie » Tue Jul 07, 2009 2:36 pm

Hi,

I would like to link to an article, regardles the language and when clicked opening the blog in the specific language setting. So, not just the translated article appears, but also the blog's (GUI) language is changed.

Could someone help me please, if possible at all? I have been searching for over a week now how to do it.

Linking to the article alone is not the problem!

Hi!

If you append the parameter ?user_language=de it should trigger the respective language, so:

<a href="/index.php?/archives/0815-yourarticle.htm&user_language=de">.

You should be able to copy the required link by just copying the displayed link from the multilingual plugin, that should appear within the footer of your entry.

Regards,
