[serendipity_event_freetag] german umlauts in url

Hello,
if I am using gerrman umlauts in the freetags, there are umlauts in the plugin url
i.e. http://www.dd4kids.de/plugin/tag/eigent ... dt-dresden

In categories and artikel-titels umlauts are converted. Does this pose a problem in tags?
It looks to me, that i.e. pagination in bulletproof is not working if umlauts are used.

Greetings Konrad

Hi!

I think I remember judebert working on urldecode()ing those tags. Actually, they need to be URL encoded. I'm not sure if anything changed in the plugin recently...you are using the most recent version?

Garvin

Hi!

This is the thread I was referring to:

http://board.s9y.org/viewtopic.php?f=3& ... it=freetag

Sadly I can't offer a solution other than "don't use special characters" right now :(

Regards,
Garvin

Luckily, I never actually added that change, so at least we can tell it's not my fault. ;)

I think the whole URL structure needs to be updated. I'm not sure I'm the guy to do it, since I've already failed once (the thread in question is a little embarrassing). I'm really cranking on non-Serendipity stuff, and my computer is inaccessible right now, so it'll be a while before I can even look at it.

The "solution" is ok to me. It is just important to know.
