Auto URL detection

For some reason I thought there was a plugin that automatically detected URL's and made them into links in posts (but not if it was already formatted by say the bbcode plugin). Do I just have a bad memory and thinking of WordPress when I used it? If it doesn't exsist it shouldn't be too hard to create with some regexp magic.

We currently do not have such a plugin, but you are right, it should be easy to integrate this into one of our markup plugins. But I think using the BBCode URL tags is already quite comfy...
