version number still 2.0.1 after upgrade to 2.0.2

Hi,
I am using softaculous to upgrade / update my serendipity blog.
I have seen however that the version number is still 2.0.1 after the update to 2.0.2 in the file serendipity_config_local.inc.php and in the html source
It is set to 777 though but not altered. Perhapse the sequence is wrong?
Softaculous does see it is updated to 2.0.2

Hm, I think we are the wrong address to ask this question...
We have two stable ways to upgrade a Blog:
Either by transferring the whole package to the blogs dir via FTP, wget, Curl..., or use the Serendipity 1-click autoupdate (plugin). I have no idea how Softaculous interferes here.
Did you run the upgrader afterwards?

After the update there is nothing else left to do than fetch the URL of the blog and thats it.
Then i log in and set the propper rights to the files. Appearantly it did set the rights for writing but did not write.

When the serendipity_config_local... file hasn't changed version, the upgrade hasn't run yet. Thus there is a permission(?) problem, or the upgrade did not replace your current files (did you check this?).
You must at least get a page telling you the upgrade has run and to proceed to your blog after all.

That page comes in softaculous. It tells me serendipity is updated and all i have to do is to fetch the index.php to effectuate the update.
If i do that, the blog comes up and thats it.

Well, in this case.... don't use Softaculous then. We have nothing to do with such programs.
Do you have a blog URL to check?
Also check your error logs.
I personally would recommend to use the autoupdate plugin. I don't think it will take you more time upgrading your blog than using this application.

If your blog is
http://mijnstandpunt.nl/blog/, I am pretty sure you did not get (all?) the updated files, since new 2.0.2 parts are not inside the 2k11/admin/style.css file. So better check, if Softaculous did not unpack to a "/serendipity" dir, or something.
