Convert error on Synology 3.1

Post by jschulenburg »

After i installed Synology version 3.1 on my DS210J DiskStation it started to reindex all photo's, which took a long time. But now, after it's all finished and i try to upload a photo to my S9Y powered website, it gives me the following error:

Unable to execute: "/usr/syno/bin/convert -antialias -resize '110x73>' '/var/services/web/xxxx/uploads/Afbeeldingen/Prive/Vakantie2011/2011-08-06-02.JPG' '/var/services/web/xxxx/uploads/Afbeeldingen/Prive/Vakantie2011/2011-08-06-02.serendipityThumb.JPG'", error: , return var: 1

Does someone know how to solve this? When i run the commandline on the Synology the thumbnail is correctly created?

In Serendipity Admin sidebar -> Administration -> Image Conversion Settings -
  • Use Imagemagic (is it yes/no)?
  • Set path to your imagemagic convert file (is it /usr/syno/bin/convert)?

Yep, both are true (Use Imagemagic and path is correct).

hmmm, I dont know sorry.
Maybe some chmod or symlink problem, did you try to ask the synology forum?
As a workaround, did you try to use GDLib instead?

Looks to me as a rights issue, but chmod is rw for all. If the smlink would be the problem, the commandline wouldn't either run, but when running it on the command line it does work. Rebuilding thumbs from the menu, and the image list is Ok. I haven't posted it on the Synology forum yet, wil do it later.
