Hello, I'm from German and my English is not so good.

I use for me "ingenious" Tool serendipity since a few days. I am inspired.
I have nevertheless a question to pictures:
I uploaded a transparent GIF. With the following options from Adobe Image Ready stored:

GIF 32 colors, transparency, interlaced, diffusion, without background (tranzparent)
I uses this picture in the Kath. - opinion the picture has however black background that can lie. I would like to use transparent Gifs, because it gives with a CSS change of fewer problems with the background colour.

Ich bin begeistert.
Ich habe trotzdem eine Frage zu Bildern:
Ich habe ein transparentes GIF hochgeladen. Mit folgenden optionen aus Image Ready gespeichert

Ich benutze dieses Bild in der Kath. - Ansicht

Woran kann das liegen.

Ich möchte transparente Gifs benutzen, weil es bei einer CSS-Änderung weniger Probleme gibt mit der Hintergrundfarbe

Die Erstellung bzw. der Upload unserer Thumbnails wird mit ImageMagick oder GDLib erstellt. Diese können leider GIF-Transparenz bei der Bearbeitung nicht beibehalten. Daher gibt es als Lösung leider nur zwei Möglichkeiten:

1. Du benutzt PNG Grafiken, bei denen die Transparenz beibehalten werden kann (leider jedoch nur in aktuellen 0.8 Snapshotversionen)

2. Du musst die Vorschaubilder manuell erstellen und speichern.

Wir suchen noch nach einer besseren Lösung, leider ist uns aufgrund der Abhängigkeit von dem externen GDLib/ImageMagick keine einfache Lösung bekannt.

Okay, here's a translation of my post:

The creating resp. the upload of our thumbnails is done by using ImageMagick or GDLib. Those can sadly not contain GIF-Transparency when resizing. That's why there are only two solutions:

1. You use PNG graphics, for which transparency can be kept (but this only works in recent 0.8 snapshot versions)

2. You must create the preview images manually and upload them seperately

We are looking for a better solution, but because the external libraries do not yet support that, we don't know what to do
