Editing posts has wavy red line under all words

When I edit a post I get a wavy red line under almost all the words. Actually the same is happening as I'm writing this. It doesn't make the screen unreadable but it is slightly annoying. Any explanation for this?

The line comes from the spelling correction of your browser. Not s9y-related, see if you have the wanted language installed (right-click into such an edit-field).

Many thanks - yes, that was it. I had spell-check selected but also, oddly, Catalan!
