Question from a newbie

Hi All,

I'm new here and very new to serendipity, I currently have a wordpress site which is focused on

toddler girl clothing

Can any of your serendipity experts, tell me what is the relative merits of serendipity in comparison with wordpress, and what would you say the major advantages of using serendipity would be?

Any feedback will be most welcome, and thanks in advance for helping a newbie

I am so new here that I have not even installed Serendipity yet.I do not how to download and install yet either because I need to know a few things first.

My question concerns the possibility of doing this:

Do I understand correctly,that I can import the archives from Wordpress that I currently have to Serendipity?

I might want to transfer from Wordpress to Serendipity,then delete Wordpress database from my cPANEL.

My main intent would consist of posting several news articles and commenting on them daily.

I am not a troll like the first poster is in the thread.

Yes, you can import WordPress-Articles into Serendipity! And of course posting entries and commenting is a key feature of Serendipity
