Making a Discussion Forum

Post by alexa9 » Wed Jan 28, 2009 6:37 am

I have installed the plugin: Discussion forum / phpBB comment mirroring but cannot get it to work.

Is it necessary to have phpBB installed to start a discussion page? (I have tried phpBB but I prefer the feel of Serendipity)

What is required after installing the plugin?

Hi!

The plugin provides two functionalities: One is a simple (VERY simply) discussion functionality. The other function is to connect to an existing external phpBB board.

If you disable phpBB mirroring (this is the default) you can access your discussion forum through http://yourblog/index.php?serendipity[subpage]=forum

Thanks for the info, it was helpful - simple is OK as the saying goes"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication"
