Audio Format ?

Post by johncanary »

Hi,

The idea of the reCHAPTCHA project is indeed great. I am happy with the old Chaptcha
plugin though, but I had modified it to be more legible.

Anyway, it's a great usability bonus that reChaptcha offers audio as an additional
channel. Definitely something to recommend.

However, I was astonished when it spawned an external application to playback that
sound. (I used the test recaptcha on their page, firefox on linux)

I think the audio should be in flash, which is handled by most browsers more smoothly
via the flash plugin.

Might be something that is out of your control. I just wanted to let you know.
Next time I'll upgrade my blog, I check out reChaptcha in more detail.

Hi!

Recaptcha is an external service, you need to ask them to support this. :)

I will, would definitly increase usability and browser ubiqity (or whatever that stupid word is).

Have a nice weekend.
