permalinks for polish language

hello!

one of my blog readers has committed to me some time ago a little redone file with permalinks definitions (or whatever it does - i don't understand a thing about php :)). why? here is the problem:

in poland we have some our very own polish letters like (i hope forum supports UTF encoding):
Ą ą or Ć ć or even Ł ł :)

now, when i add an entry with some polish diacritics (that's how they're called in english i believe), let's say it will go like this:
Zażółć gęślą jaźń

serendipity will truncate polish letters and my entry's link will go somehow like that:
http://blabla/archives/number-Za-ja.html

not good since almost all the link has gone to hell and it will say nothing to anybody who will want to link to my blog.

this reader believes that the solution to this problem lives in this file. i simply don't know so please garvin or somone else - drop an eye and tell me if this solves the polish permalink problem.

thanks to jarek szczepanek, who mailed me this solution. i hope you guys will know what to do with that and to make serendipity's permalinks polish language compatible.

Hi!

You can define a $i18n_filename_from and _to inside each lnaguage file to define special characters. have a look at the russian lange file!
